Over October half term, families joined artist Alice Cunningham at Langport Town Hall for a hands-on clay workshop as part of the Langport Interchange Art Project.

Inspired by the local landscape, small hands experimented with clay tile making, imprinting foraged natural materials gathered along the banks of the River Parrett, alongside relief carving and mark-making. Some of the beautiful pieces created may even find their way into Alice’s developing design for the permanent public artwork at Langport Interchange.

At the heart of this project is creating with the community and celebrating what makes Langport special.
